Salmond was on Question time last night and he was quite well received by the audience and I think he put a stronger message across in that one program than all 3 UK leaders debates combined.

Vince Cable was terrible and the little Scots guy from the Tory party was booed almost every time he opened his mouth.

Allan, you were obviously watching QT on Hi-Definition, that's not how it looked from my front room. What I saw was a very cool reception towards Salmond - he was applauded once, and ignored, or even sneered at otherwise.

In the audience's defence - the English are probably pretty sick of saggy faced Scots telling them how good we've got it...

Hence the reason I wrote (Quite) well received. At the beginning he was sneered and never really got a clap from the audience whenever he attacked another party, presumably because no SNP supporters would had been in the audience!

However he did receive two large rounds of applause when he attacked the BBC and its strict rules on the UK leaders debate and also when he said all the main parties were hiding the truth over the debt but in the end I would say your correct and the audience were by in large cool towards Salmond.
