I wasn't aware that part of the marching band tradition in France is to play "Scots Wha Hae" as we know it or "La Marche des soldats de Robert Bruce" as our French copains call it. According to one French poster the tribute lasts due to the Scots soldiers who died against Edward II troops, whilst defending Joan of Arc.

Just another bit of Scots history swept under the carpet Monty.At one time there were as many as eight thousand Scots troops fighting in France against the English.
